Dating back to 1876 it is one of Iowa’s five oldest museums and the first Carnegie Library west of the Mississippi River endowed by Andrew Carnegie. Our unique collection features one of the Midwest’s foremost collections of Native American pottery, Civil War artifacts, Roman Antiquities, and local memorabilia.
